Your mission

As we scale our hardware development, we're looking for a CAD/PLM Support Engineer to keep our design tools and data running smoothly and help our engineering team work efficiently.

You will support our engineers' day-to-day use of SolidWorks 2026 for CAD and 3DEXPERIENCE R2026x for PLM, troubleshooting issues, maintaining data structure and configuration, and helping establish best practices so the team can focus on designing great hardware rather than fighting their tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line support for SolidWorks 2026 (CAD) and 3DEXPERIENCE R2026x (PLM) users across the engineering team.
  • Build and maintain a reliable foundation within 3DEXPERIENCE R2026x PLM environment, including user access, workspaces, and data organization.
  • Troubleshoot SolidWorks CAD issues (file errors, performance, licensing) and 3DEXPERIENCE PLM issues (sync/check-in problems, workflow errors, access rights), escalating to vendor support when needed.
  • Support data migration, cleanup, and structuring within the 3DEXPERIENCE PLM system.
  • Help define and document best practices and workflows for SolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE usage.
The scope of this project is subject to discussion and will start with a kickoff and then transition into an on-call style setup.

Your profile

Apply if this describes you:
  • Hands-on experience with SolidWorks (CAD) and 3DEXPERIENCE (PLM), ideally including 3DEXPERIENCE administration; familiarity with recent versions (e.g. SolidWorks 2026, 3DEXPERIENCE R2026x) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of CAD data structures, PDM/PLM workflows, and BOM management within a 3DEXPERIENCE environment.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting technical issues independently.
  • Experience supporting engineering teams or working in a CAD administrator/support role.
  • Available for a freelance/contractor engagement with flexible, part-time or project-based availability.

Why us?

  • Opportunity to shape the CAD/PLM foundation for a fast-scaling hardware team.
  • Flexible, freelance engagement with remote options.
  • Dynamic team of engineers passionate about mobility innovation.
  • Competitive freelance rate.
  • Work directly with the engineering team and leadership.
